Local Walks and Activities |
We are within 150 metres of Dell Woods in The Abernethy National Nature Reserve and Coire Choille is within 4 miles of the RSPB Loch Garten Osprey Centre. We are close to areas frequented by red squirrels, deer, badgers, pine marten, crested tits and capercaillies. Our home is also just 1 mile off the Speyside Way and we welcome both walkers and cyclists.
The village of Nethy Bridge is criss-crossed by “Explore Abernethy” waymarked walks and one of the routes passes our front gate. The centre of the village is reached by an easy and attractive 1 mile path beside the river. On a clear day we get good views of the Cairngorm Mountains 9 miles away. |

Wildlife |
The area has wonderful scenery and wildlife. You will see a lot yourself when out walking, but there is no better experience than being accompanied by a helpful guide such as Arcguiding - a professional, friendly and innovative guiding service, based in the Cairngorms National Park. Join them for a journey into some of the most exciting and unique habitats in Scotland. |

Meals |
Jan and Allan have sample menus of local places to eat in the evening, within easy walking or driving distance, between 1 mile and 6 miles away. |
